Singen (Hohentwiel) is a city in the very south of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is an industrial town located north of the German-Swiss border. It is situated within close proximity of Lake Constance.
The most famous sight of Singen is the Hohentwiel, a volcanic stub on which are the ruins of a fortress destroyed by French troops during the Napoleonic Wars.
Singen is the important town on Hegau. Further sights in Singen are the Geographic Museum and the local Saint Martin Church with its Gothic tower (77 meter).
